Budget Dumpster, LLC Ranked No. 184 Fastest Growing Company in North America on Deloitte’s 2016 Technology Fast 500™

By Ben Gatz on November 16, 2016

Waste innovator achieves 454 percent revenue growth from 2012 to 2015.

Deloitte announced today that Budget Dumpster is ranked No. 184 on the Technology Fast 500™, a ranking of the 500 fastest growing technology, media, telecommunications, life sciences and energy tech companies in North America.

“We are so pleased to be included with such great companies and would like to thank Deloitte for recognizing innovation in a non-traditional tech industry,” said John Fenn, co-founder of Budget Dumpster. “Since our inception, the push to be an innovator in our space has had a profound impact on our culture, on our business and for our customers.”

Budget Dumpster’s selection was based on a number of factors, including technology that streamlines price-quoting for customers. At the heart of the process is a proprietary software that utilizes census information, geospatial data, maps and pricing to provide up-to-the-minute details tied to rates and location-specific service capabilities across the nation.

Fenn and co-founder Mark Campbell founded Budget Dumpster to disrupt a waste industry niche – temporary roll-off dumpsters – that was ripe for innovation.

“This year’s Fast 500 winners showcase that when organizations are open to diverse perspectives and insights, they are able to create an environment for their employees and customers to see the possibilities and ingenious solutions that might lie ahead,” added Jim Atwell, national managing partner of the emerging growth company practice, Deloitte & Touche LLP. “Entrepreneurial environments foster change and innovation within businesses, and we look forward to watching these companies continue to drive change across all sectors.”

Overall, 2016 Technology Fast 500™ companies achieved revenue growth ranging from 121 percent to 66,661 percent from 2012 to 2015, with median growth of 290 percent.

Budget Dumpster’s Technology Fast 500 ranking is one of several accolades received in the past six months including:

  • No. 5 spot on Crain’s 52 Fastest-Growing Companies in Northeast Ohio
  • No. 873 in Inc. 5000 list of America’s fastest-growing private companies
  • Waste100, ranked No. 67 largest waste and recycling firms in North America
