Do I need a permit to rent a dumpster?
You usually don't need a permit to keep your roll off dumpster on private property, like your driveway or jobsite. However, if you plan to keep your bin in the street, you may need to get a dumpster permit from your local municipality. Be sure to get your permit after you order your container and before delivery. Should I cover my roll off dumpster if it rains?
Yes, it's best to cover your dumpster rental during bad weather to prevent water from adding weight to your bin. Each of our rentals has a weight limit, and going over your limit results in a per-ton overage fee. If rain is on the horizon, cover your roll off container with a tarp and secure the tarp with bungee cords. This should help you prevent any weather-related fees.
Is there a right way to fill a roll off container?
We recommend loading your heavier and larger items first. Walk them through the dumpster door or roll them inside with a wheelbarrow. Make sure to distribute the weight evenly throughout the bin. Then toss light debris over the sides of the container. When you finish, make sure all waste is below the dumpster's fill line. Then close and secure the door.
