Yes, when you rent a dumpster you can keep it in the street. You'll just need a Street Occupancy Permit from Springfield’s Department of Public Works ahead of time. In some areas, you can get rid of mattresses, box springs, appliances and electronics, but these items have an extra fee because they need additional processing at the landfill.
