Can my roll off dumpster sit on an incline?
Generally, our dumpster rentals cannot sit on steep slopes. If you need to use the parking brake in your car, it’s not a safe spot for a dumpster to be delivered. Assuming it’s not too steep, we recommend keeping your roll off container in your driveway or another flat, paved surface near your work area.
Do I need to cover my roll off container when it rains?
If it rains or snows while your dumpster rental is on-site, we recommend draping a tarp over the top. This prevents standing water from accumulating in your bin and will help you avoid adding weight to absorbent materials like dirt and home clutter. To ensure your roll off dumpster stays covered, secure the tarp with bungee cords or straps – it is the windy city, after all.
Will I need a permit for my dumpster rental?
If you want to keep your dumpster rental on the street, you will need a permit since it will be placed on public property. You can easily apply for a permit online from the Forest Park Permits Processing Division. If you are placing the container on private property, you will not need a permit.
