Can I have my dumpster rental dropped off in the street?
Yes, but you may need to get a permit from the city of Mentor-on-the-Lake first. If you are able to place it on your own private property, like in a driveway or private parking lot, you will not need a permit. Otherwise, you will need to contact Mentor-on-the-Lake’s Zoning Department for a permit.
How should I load my roll off container?
Once your dumpster rental has arrived, load all your largest, heaviest items in first. Don’t throw heavy items in over the sides. Instead carry or roll them in a wheelbarrow through the side door. After that, you can start to put your smaller, lighter items in to fill up the extra space. Make sure no debris is sticking over the rim of the bin before your pickup.

1. Choose a size and delivery spot. We require 60 feet of space in a straight line and 23 feet of vertical clearance.
2. Prepare for delivery. Remove any vehicles, materials or low-hanging obstacles to ensure we can deliver your dumpster and to avoid a trip fee.
3. Fill up your dumpster. Remember to keep your included weight limit in mind to prevent overage fees.
4. Schedule your pickup. To ensure pickup and avoid a trip fee, your dumpster must be accessible and only contain approved debris piled no higher than the sidewalls.
